Recipe Of The Week

  MEATBALLS ( FRIKADELLER) RECIPE

Frikadeller is a popular dish in Germany. Prepared by many families and loved by all. Many variations of frikadeller exist but traditionally they are made of pork or  beef, chopped onions, eggs ( if you wish to put eggs), milk or water, day old bread or bread crumbs, ( oatmeal or flour can also serve but bread is highly recommended), salt, garlic, pepper, olive oil, fresh parsley and dried oregano.

Method

Put the meat in a bowl (Beef mince)

Soak the  white bread in water (best use dry old bread for this).

Chop up the parsley.

Finely cut the onions

Squeeze the bread to get as much water out of it as you can.

Add all the ingredients to a bowl

Mix them up

The size and shape you desire for your meatballs is up to you.

Deep fry them.

Don't use high temp to avoid the meat getting burnt

You can serve with just a side salad or any other thing you wish to serve it with.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.
