When Gaga's song came out in May last year, Madonna said: ''I thought what a wonderful way to redo my song". I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting.'
She also told Cynthia McFadden on 20/20: 'When I heard it on the radio, I said "that sounds very familiar". It feels reductive.'
