Toddlers And Tiaras Mother Now Banned For Entering Daughter Into Pageants

The mother of a child beauty queen has been banned from entering her daughter into pageants in a fierce court battle for custody of the child, according to a new report.

Lindsay Jackson, 30, from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, sparked controversy after she dressed Maddy, five, as Dolly Parton, complete with fake breasts and butt, for a pageant that aired on TLC reality series Toddlers & Tiaras last year.
Her actions were severely criticised by her estranged partner, Bill Verst, who accused his ex of sexually exploiting their child and has since applied for custody.

Now, RadarOnline reveals, Ms Jackson has been issued with a gag order and ordered not to enter her daughter into any more pageants until the next hearing on August 31.
A source close to Ms Jackson told the site: 'What kind of judge tells a parent what kind of extracurricular activity they can put their child in? Pageants aren’t illegal and they’re not harming Maddy.
Ms Jackson, who has been entering Maddy into beauty contests since she was 13 months old, insists that her daughter loves pageants and begs to go to them every weekend.

So share with us what do you think about this situation?

So so wrong! I'm glad we don't have pageants like that for children in New Zealand.

That is just sick! Totally support the judge's decision here.

I think the judge made the right decision. I think it is sad to put young girls in so much makeup when their faces are naturally beautiful. Kids should get to be kid! I find it all very strange for toddlers to be in contests where they are trying to look like grown women.

They should make those pageants illegal. Seriously!

That is child abuse, plain and simple. That mom is sick in the head. She doesn't realize how much harms she does to her daughter. The ill-effects will manifest themselves as she grows older.

I can't believe some of the mom's on that show! Spray tanning toddlers, waxing eye brows...I think its just wrong! I think they'll grow up with the wrong set of morals. The dad has every right to want custody of his daughter. The mom has clearly taken pageants a bit too far with the Dolly stunt.

I saw the preview for that show and I would not want to watch it at all!

It is clear to anyone who has watched Toddlers and Tiaras for 3 minutes or 30 minutes, the show is about parents pushing their little ones to compete...living life through their children!

That's terrible. Is she the same one that dressed her daughter as Pretty Woman? I thought that was terrible too. And the ones who feed their daughters that go go juice. My cousin is entering her one year old in a pageant and my family and I started joking to her not to be like those pageant moms. And her other cousin said, "Oh, one of those parents." It was funny.
I don't watch the show very much, but have caught a few episodes and I think it's sickening how they promote their babies. Someday, they're probably going to end up being strippers at age 18.
On another note, I recently wrote a Prince Harry Gets in trouble post a few days ago, and I had the biggest laugh today when already the views for that one have gotten to 7,600 and climbing! What a riot! It's probably because everyone wants to see a naked Prince Harry. ha ha

I have seen that show a couple of times. It's like watching a train wreck in progress - you want to look away but can't.

What are parents teaching their daughters about themselves when they spend hundreds of dollars on "pageant lessons", fake hair and teeth, in order to make them "beautiful enough" to win one of these pageants?

I tell you there is nothing cuter (ok, so maybe I'm partial) than my daughter toddling out into the living room, full-on bed hair, rubbing her eyes, to crawl up into my lap for a morning hug. :O)
