Wendy Williams is the cover girl for Sister2Sister Magazine for their April 2014 issue.
Inside the issue, the gossip guru and talk show host dished on her greatest career achievements, new upcoming book, and of course her talk show being renewed through 2017.
From Sister2Sister:
Jamie: When the Smithsonian asked you to be a part of their entertainment exhibit. What did you think and what did you give them?
Wendy: Well, first of all, with the Smithsonian, Jamie, I’m still glowing. It’s the most unbelievable thing, and it will always be the most unbelievable thing that has ever happened to me, career-wise. I could go on and act for 100 years and win an Oscar but it would never compare to going down in history with the Smithsonian. I could talk my behind off on TV and get Daytime Emmys for the best talk show. It would be sweet, but it will never compare to being a part of history in the Smithsonian. Who dreams of that?Jamie: Right.
Wendy: Yes, and you know, Jamie, a lot of people think that you buy your way into the Smithsonian the way you can buy a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, or that you call them and then they call you back when they get around to it. The Smithsonian doesn’t do that. They have to invite you and they stand for everything Americana. The Smithsonian is all about things that have shaped our country. I’m the first talk show host to be asked to donate. First ever.Jamie: Not even Oprah?!
Wendy: Not even Oprah, not even Merv Griffin, not even Regis.
