How Far Would You Go to Protect Your Child? Would You Kill Someone?

Many of you must have heard about a father in Texas that killed the 47-year-old  man molesting  his 4-year-old daughter. If this is your first time of reading it here, yes it happened in Texas.

Sheriff Harmon said the father and daughter were at their barn with several other people to groom and care for horses. The 47-year-old man came with some of the other people, but was not known to the father and child.
The 47-year-old man reportedly took the girl into some pasture behind the barn. Another child saw the sexual assault happening and ran to tell the girl’s father.
Sheriff Harmon said as the girl’s father was pulling the 47-year-old man away from the child, when he hit the man several times in the head and killed him.

Many are generating serious debate on this case, saying he did the wrong thing killing the man, while many said that is the best thing to do in such situation..

  2. Sure i will kill someone no two ways. You can't destroy my own child just to satify your sexual demonic appetite.

  3. That is a crazy story!!! I probably would have reacted the same way as the guy in the article. I would hate to ever be in that situation. It's like once it happens to your kid - it can never be taken back. Any SOB who molests a child should lose his/her life.

  4. I would have killed him and celebrated after I did it. I can't stand anyone that would hurt a child like that.

  6. I can honestly say in this situation that the father was not wrong in my opinion. He was hitting the guy, and the guy died in the process. The man was in the middle of molesting the daughter. I'm sure I (or my husband) would have done the same. It's not like the dad went after the guy later. This was a crime in progress. Yes, I would do what I had to in order to protect my children.

  8. That is so sad and disgusting. I would go nuts! Don't know if I would set out to kill someone, but totally understand the father doing it in this situation. I wonder if he thought 'i'm going to kill him' or if it just happened because he was letting out so much anger.

  9. With my anger I would have acted the same way as the father. When it comes to my child NO ONE hurts him, and if I caught it I wouldn't be able to stop since I know what it is like to live with that pain.

  11. I totally sympathize with the father. I often make reference to my "Mama Bear" - she will protect her children at all costs, with no hesitation.

I'm following you from the Hop - I've been following you for some time. I just wanted to let you know that I'm hosting 2 giveaways for children's books, so I wanted to make sure you had a chance to enter if you are interested. Have a fabulous week. Cheers, Renee

  12. Yes, I would try my best to kill or seriously hurt any individual that sexually molested my child. ...And wouldn't blink or think twice about my decision.

  13. I don't think I'd kill them...but I would most certainly fantasize about it! Very grateful nothing like this has touched my family.

  14. I rarely write things that might toe the line on controversial. I have enough to wear me out taking care of three rambunctious beasties children that I don’t need to be putting out that kind of energy in print. But…this story got me completely spun up in a million different ways. It also got me wondering: would people think this dad was guilty of murder or would they think it was justified? Side note, all of the people who don’t think things like this should be tried in the court of public opinion may want to stop reading now, because I’m about to get on that train. You can also Google the relevant search terms and a million stories will come up in various outlets.
