Janet Jackson Doesn't Want Her Niece To Start A Showbiz Career

Left: Janet Jackson and her niece Paris Jackson (Michael Jackson's daughter)
Janet Jackson doesn't want her niece to start a showbiz career. The daughter of her late brother Michael Jackson.

She told Prevention magazine: 'We've spoken about the fact that you're only a child once.'I think there's a time for everything, and now is not the time [to act in films]. I told her I thought she should enjoy being a kid, possibly go to college or not, but wait until she turns 18.
'She's a very tough, smart girl. But it's a cut throat industry. I wouldn't want my child to do it.'
Yet Paris insisted in appearing in the film, which will feature both real and animated characters.
The movie will be based on a young adult series by Dennis H. Christen, about a dolphin turned into a human by ancient magic, a teenage boy who turns into a dragonfly and a jellyfish queen which morphs into an evil fairy godmother.
My thoughts: I wish young Paris will listen to Janet because she is talking from personal experience..But she believes that if  Janet could make it, then she too can..

  1. I think Janet is giving Paris an honest advice she should follow because it for her good. The entertainment industries infested with lots of human sharks and are ready to devour.

  6. Kids do tend to grow up fast when in showbiz. Hopefully, with the right guidance, she won't be led astray.

  7. It's like my sister says, "You can tell me about all the beautiful sites in Paris: the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Truimph, the Louvre," but, "unless I see them for myself I wouldn't understand the experience." Same with Paris and Janet. Come by for a visit and "like" my new facebook.

  8. Sometimes folks just have to learn from the school of hard knocks. You can show em' better than you can tell em'. Paris will be okay though, I know the family has her back.
